As of June 22, 2022, HB2510 is now Act 114, and that means Hawai’i’s is rising to $12 beginning in October, and will continue increasing through Jan 1., 2028, when it will reach $18. It also means our state EITC is now permanent and fully-refundable.
Facing the highest cost of living in 40 years, workers in Hawaii organized to demand a higher minimum wage and won! Now, Hawaii is on a path to $18! THIS IS A WORKERS’ VICTORY! Shout out to Raise Up Hawai’i, Hawai’i Appleseed, Living Wage Hawai’i and all our workers, members, community, and representatives that made this happen!
